
ABOUT US
KENTON HARSCH serves primarily as Director of the English Language Institute (ELI) but is also the Employment Officer for the Department of Second Language Studies at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. He has an MA in TESOL from Temple University and has worked as a teacher and administrator in Japan and Hawai'i since 1993. His interests include pedagogical applications of theory, the role of reflection in learning, and materials development. Email: kenton@hawaii.edu
JIM YOSHIOKA is Program Coordinator for the National Foreign Language Resource Center (NFLRC) / Second Language Teaching & Curriculum Center (SLTCC) at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. He graduated with an MA in English as a Second Language from the Department of Second Language Studies at UH Manoa in 1999. His professional interests include sociolinguistics, language pedagogy (particularly writing), and assessment. His current personal interests include theater and country-western dancing.
